I know this is an oldie but might as well keep all the info in the one place  :nod

easy homemade tool (if ya can weld)  :icon_rolleyes:

2 x 30mm steel nuts

1 x 3 Ft length of threaded rod or thick walled steel tube or round bar

check depth down inside fork leg for ideal length, cut rod/tube/bar to suit and weld nut on each end,
clean thoroughly and you now have a damper removal tool  :thumbsup

and this is what the end of the damper rod looks like..............
