Sorry Nick, liked your title, so apologies for stealing the style.

Doing a coolant change on the XC. Noted some weeping between the main coolant steel pipe and the rubber hose.
My Dad used to clean the steel, and put a thin smear of Blue Hylomar (the non setting stuff) on the joints on his various cars, over the years.
Never had a leaking issue, and never had problems with removing the hose x-years later.

Anyone have an opinion on steel/rubber interfacing?

Continuing the innuendo theme... are you sure there are no cracks in your pipe?
Is it really an adventure bike if its wheels never see dirt?

London_Phil

No Cracks, but the pipe clamp wasn't particularly tight.
Bike doesn't use water, but once seen, I want to make sure its fine.
Probably just nip it up a bit once flushed and refilled.
Going to take the opportunity to dismount the Rad, and check the Regulator, so probably end up attending to most of the clamps..
