I've done a search on this site for K&N filters and nothing comes up about whether the ECU needs a re-tune after fitting the filter.

So:- Q, Does the ECU compensate automatically for the K&N filter or will I need to visit the dealer to have things like the CO adjusted?

I've had mine in for 9 months or so and didn't bother when i fitted it,but noticed it was better on the throttle response but i changed the can at the same time???,and when I had the motor shimmed they just put a new tune in and set it up as the norm.

I'm sure I read on another site that after fitting a K & N they got the dealer to adjust the CO to compensate.
