Looks good as a concept with good performance & range, if it lives up to the claims.

My concern around electric bikes remains the cost when compared to conventional PTW, both in terms of financial and environmental.

I accept that at the point of use, it's clean and cheap, no petrol or road tax, but to start with electric bikes cost more to buy and insure. Factoring in the battery life over, say a 10 year period & having to replace them at least once, they are likely to cost more than conventional bikes to buy & run over the same period.

From an environmental perspective, there's the impact of the raw materials, refining, processing, electricity production (we're still not totally green or carbon neutral here) and end of life disposal. All we really do is move the environmental impact away from us so it's someone else's problem.

Electric is good and we're heading in the right direction, but with cleaner Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), we're still not there yet.

Totally agree with you... but still, if I had £20k sitting around spare (which I haven't!) I might just be tempted by one of those  :icon_lol:
