well ive begged, borrowed and stolen for the money and have now ordered for my tiger!

Went for the dual port stainless (through reviews on this site)

guessing it will fit as ive brought the 955i 2000 on and ive got an 885 2000!

any tips fitting or is it straight forward like most slip on cans?

Best practice is to use exhaust assembly paste which is exactly what it is, use a good smear on the connecting pipe and can, unless of course you like the popping on decel of course.
Next do the clamps up tight and wait for about 1/2hr before running just so the paste goes off and run till hot. Recheck mounts and clamps for tightness.

I may as well do it, as I'm gonna get blamed for it anyway.

There's a post with pic about fitting a BF but you've probably read that already. It explains setting up the mount so that it doesn't interfere with the pannier.
