My beastie developed a small stutter and stammer after I dropped it at low speed on our recent Ivanhoe trip. Then when I dropped her again on the Mossgeil road it seemed to clear up.

Yesterday riding home from Queensland it started again. Feels like the motor is dieing, wind on the throttle and she picks up again.

Does this sound like a TPS issue? I've got to pull her apart to replace the GPS power cable (again), steering head bearings and service the forks and airbox anyway so can have a look while I'm in there

She is 80k miles young, motor is stock and uses about a liter of oil every 3500 miles ( between changes). Fuel consumption is not as good as many get on here ( 38-42 mpg depending on use) but I figure that's because she is getting on a bit now!

Fuel comsumption sounds ok.

Just a stab in the dark and a place to start is give the fall over cut out switch a really good shake, they have been known to cause problems on other models but don't seem to appear on Tigers.
And of course the perenial side stand switch could do with a lube and perhaps check the resistance across the switch.(There shouldn't be any).
