While hunting for clues regarding a little fuelling problem on the Laverda I'm currently working on I stumbled across the Laverda forum; it's like any other forum, ranging from one or two gurus to a range of fuckwits with a large helping of pisstaking.  Pretty much like TigerTriple then....

One short story had me in tears though. Here's the gist:

One time I was riding rather briskly home on a favorite winding road. While rounding a corner I accidentally hit the Kill Switch and dumped a fair amount of unburnt fuel into my 2 int 1 pipes. Would you believe I meet my neighbour, driving his very nice 66 Chrysler 300, in the same corner - You guessed it, when I released the kill Switch KA-BANG! and rifled my Baffle like a bullet off his drivers door. I paid for the repair and ensured I had that baffle secured with Metal Screws to prevent future incidents of this nature.

So we know where Mustang fits, I think I probably have a foot in both the other camps, where do you fit :icon_scratch:
I used to have long hair, took acid and went to hip joints. Now I long for hair, take antacid and need a new hip joint

That is so funny cos the same thing happened to me minus the car bit but spent ages looking for a red hot baffle. How did I know it was still red hot?..................Well I was a teenager after all!!!!

Not had a lot of experience with 2 stroke baffles.  At MOT I got a comment about my R5 being a bit loud. I said the baffles are new(ish) and he muttered something about wadding.  Not sure what he meant, but it passed anyway :icon_mrgreen:
