steamer frame

Does anyone know if the steamer frame is the same as a 1999 885i Girly frame, and if so are the engine mounts the same as well.  I've seen a bash plate for a steamer and wonderd if it would fit.  Any help is appreciated

Engine different, frame different, completely different beast. Both have three cylinders though, so I guess if you're hammer is big enough (and your welding skills good enough) anything can be made to fit

I've seen a T509 Speed Triple (885cc)  fitted with a 1050 engine.
Would be interesting to see if the Girly engines have the same motor mounts as the early bikes.
