Heated grips, sticking throttle

Now that the temps are in the 40's here, my heated grips are getting a workout. Problem is when hot, the throttle won't rotate closed. Any suggestions?

Normally it fouls against the bar end weight, a suitable size washer behind the weight normally sorts it.

Second that.  I tore the whole switch and sleeve apart only to figure out a simple washer would have done the trick.
