I'm afraid it is time to part with my beloved 1997 steamer. It has been and still is a great bike, but I got a deal I couldn't pass up on another bike, and can't afford two. Bike is loaded with Corbin seat, full crash guards, full GIVI rack (lockable, removable hard trunk box and panniers), and longer windshield. Brand new chain and sprockets just installed, and oil changed within the last 500 miles. 47K miles and runs like a beast.

Here is the ad: http://westslope.craigslist.org/mcy/4928590809.html

Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks.

Good luck with the sale. Curious though; what did you replace it with??

A 2009 VStrom 1000. Doesn't quite have the character of the Steamer, but better suited for the type of riding I do these days..

Just you asking that question makes me hesitate to sell my Steamer!  :^_^

You said it! But the Strom is a very capable bike.

Hey I've dropped the price on this bad boy quite a bit. Now asking $2500. Let me know if any of you steamer fans are interested.

Thanks

A steal of a deal!! If you drop the price much more you might as well keep it!!

I couldn't do it! Just sold the Strom and keeping the Tiger! Some things just can't be sold...

Is it really an adventure bike if its wheels never see dirt?
