To take my tank off I remove the right side bar. This takes me less than a minute as I haven't installed the two front bolts. The nuts are also pretty easy to reach on the right side. If you look in the picture, about half way up the tiger stripe decal the bar bends inward. I suspect, if it was straightened out, the tank could be removed without removal of the bar.

I crashed a few times on sand and hard earth. All without the bolts connecting the two bars installed. The bars have yet to bend. The paint has some superficial scuffs but has held up well. If anyone really wants I can get pictures.

Oh, and you can rest your legs up on top of them.  :wheel
