Rebound adjustment

I have just picked up a new to me 05 Girly,the rebound adjustment on my 02 is a tad awkward to adjust (hugger fitted) but the 05 looks impossible to do (hugger also fitted) but even without a hugger it looks like a challenge,is there a special tool for this?

Yes to: it's almost bloody impossible

No to: is there a special tool.

You'll be taking it off to grease the bottom pivot pin bearings anyway won't you?    And therein lies another effing adventure....

And it's not rebound its combined compression and rebound.
