I recently asked Shinko USA if they had any plans to make the 805 in a 140/80-17 size, this was their response:

"We are going to expand the 804/805 line and yes this is the one of the sizes that we will be building but unfortunately it won't be until next year."

I will do my best. They'll be mounted this Thursday, so I hope the weather will be decent enough to ride the Tiger a lot in the coming weeks. ;)

Tiger on new Anakee III's. Not been able to feel much yet, but I'll probably do 1500km on them next week to run them in. :)

Nice to see a tyre that does not wear 'square'.

The Anakee II's weren't all that square. They were just very bald. ;)

I am really interested to see what the III's behave like. I've only done a couple of miles back from the shop to my house. Performed very nicely on that stretch, but I rode them carefully as they are new... Will update after my run to Germany next week.

Ok, put about 1300km on the Anakee III's now. They're nice tires. Enough grip on the road in wet and dry, so no complaints there. There has been a lot of wind on my trip, so I did notice it moved sideways a bit too easy for my liking. However, that might also just have been the difference between new tires and my old ones, which were getting a little flatter in the middle. ;)

I have had the anakee 3s on mine for a couple of years and have been great for my road riding

I am pretty happy with them. Will take them on an allroad offroad day in June. Looking forward to see how they behave then.

Avon Gripster on a 21" front & Heidenau on the 17" rear. Good compromise for both pavement & the gravel highways here in British Columbia
