Bash Plate/ Subframe

I want to take the subframe off to do some cleaning and painting but my bike only has a Side stand I cannot think the subframe makes much difference to the side stand mounting but does any one know if this will be ok or will it bend?

also
Is it actually possible to take the dipstick and put back without cross threading it?

Is that the sump guard under the engine

yes thats correct and the subframe which goes around from one foot rest to the stand bracket

It's held in by 4 bolts. if it is the sump guard then it's ok to take it off.
