How about a quick 1100-mile weekend on the Tiger to Bahia de Los Angeles on the Sea of Cortez?  Wanna see why they call it Caspian Blue?

Awesome photos!  I agree with Mudhen.  I've got to get down there some day.  I've done several trips to Copper Canyon, but never been on the peninsula.
