Possible DIY Pannier Boxes

I saw them at a Academy Sports today, and while they are a bit small, they are fairly study and cheap.  They aren't Pelican sturdy, but they are certainly a step above most plastic boxes.

Hey Mordo, I've used these a bit for boating. Your right, there not pelican tough, but not to bad either. Fairly light in wieght. For the price if they blow up, your not out bunch of money. Mine have not been completely water tight, but pretty good.

I have used many of these boxes for hunting, and fishing/boating up in Alaska.  I would say that only one out of four that you buy will actually stay water-tight.  

For the price though, you could just keep ordering more until you get two with a good seal!
