Your mission should you choose to accept it..................

My uprated Hagon shock (ordered to replace the Wilber that failed on my trip last month) arrived last week. Two sets of Shinko 705s, a new renthal rear sprocket, JT sprockets front sprocket, and a DID 530ZVM2 also arrived over the past two weeks. Today is the day I'm going to attempt getting all this installed on the Tiger. Wish me luck!

Not !! if it was me, i`d do the front wheel first cos the Tigger is a bit unstable without both wheels, unless you have all the right gear, which I aint got !! then everythin else is to the back of the bike !!

just take yer time !! 8)

Mission Failed!

I got the rear tire changed and balanced. New front and rear sprockets intstalled. Chain cut to size but not mounted. Old shock removed but didn't get the new one on yet. I still have to mount and balance the front tire, get the new shock on (shouldn't take long), and then mount rear tire and sling the chain, mount the front tire...........and I'm ready to go. I did take alot of time cleaning up the rear swing arm area and the rear rim because the access was good. Hoping to find a few hours tomorrow and Friday to get things finished up. So far no real hassles, just moving slow.

thanks,
Todd

Custom shock. Lowered 30mm, remote preload, 200kg (440 lbs) spring. Cost shipped to my house $688 ($669 + $19.85 shipping) from davidquinnmotorcycles.com. David is the middle man as Hagon's are built in the UK.

Quality looks great, can't wait to see how it performs on the road.

thanks,
Todd

Well, finally found a few hours to finish things up. Got the new shock on, the new chain on, and mounted the new front tire. After getting the new tire on the rim I went to air up the tube to seat the bead and heard lots of hissing, must have pinched the tube during tire installation. No time now to pull the tire and tube, plus there is no tube to be found in small town southern UT. Bike will have to sit until I get a chance to get a new tube........away with work all next week so it looks like another week or two before the tiger gets to roam  :( .

Oh-well,
Todd

blacktiger,

I'm stuck in a hotel in Phoenix Arizona all this week so it won't be until this weekend that I can finally get the front tire done and back on the road. Bike does look good with the new tires, chain, sprockets, and shock. Can't wait to get in the saddle again.

thanks,
Todd
