885i oil level input- how much stays in bike when changing

So I did an oil  and filter change last week and per manual I am supposed to use 4.22 quarts (top of my head, i think that's right).  I drained the oil when warm and gave it plenty of time to drain.  I put in 4 quarts and was then going to fine tune it from there.  But the 4 quarts looks like it already made my level high.  How much stays in engine?
