I see back in 07 there were rumors about this.  Anyone know if there has been any new word(rumor) on this?

Nick Calne

Probably.  Well these guys think so.....

Would love to see one.
Is it really an adventure bike if its wheels never see dirt?

It's all rose colored smoke rings blown up your kilt until one hits the showroom floor.  I'm not holding my breath.
From parts unknown.

Just had a scout round on the internet and it's apparently not appearing as a 2010 model... You'd imagine it would be a sales 'no-brainer', - just build 'em and sell 'em by the thousand.  Come on triumph, give us what we want.

They way I read it...  they can't make enough engines to fill the current 675 model range...

No there will not. The engine is too tall from sump to rocker box. The bike would be impossibly tall.
I think it's more likely that they'll develop the Scrambler into a proper adventure tourer. Think about it. Engine is a simple air/oil cooled twin, built like a brick sh1t house. It just needs some decent suspension. It would be like a modern R80GS.

Have seen a few articles on Scramblers that have been put on diets and been well fettled (and farkled)...

It's a project I'd like to do too, but I'd have to give up one of the other bikes and have the time (and $$) to be able to enjoy the process.

...and hey if Triumph did it for me...  very tempting...

Scanning thru that thread.... it starts in 2007, and by the the last post in 2008 most state they have given up.  Some had even traded in their old 675's for 1050Girlies
