Just want to confirm this is correct connector.

if it is how the heck am I supposed to get to the thing???   Do I have to remove the tank???   Not a whole lot of play in the wire.  What have other 06 owners done???

Looks like i need to get to the other side of connector to disconnect?

Yup, that's the one-  and it's a real bugger to get to!

I suspect that most of the guys who have done the voltage fix have done so when they had the tank off for something else, as it would be far easier.

I did mine with the tank on- I ended up loosening the front tank bolt and removing the rear bolt.  That gave me enough play to prop up the back of the tank (with something soft!)  and gave me enough room to (barely) access the connector.

Hope this helps!

RT,

I have a 2004 and the connector is located just under the battery. Nowhere near the tank. It was very very easy to do but I don know if it changed in the 2006.

Take a look at the original post: http://www.tigertriple.com/forum/viewto ... oltage+fix (http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,3843&highlight=voltage+fix)

In fact, after I disconnected mine, it was easy to pull up and leave it on top of the battery itself so it would be dryer.

Good luck!
