im not in the fenland, im in the land of sugarbeet n turkeys. aint sure bout fenland roads but if you seen the ones round here you understand why    :mrgreen:

I can go three different routes to Peterborough on the Tiger but only one on the Blackbird (if I want to enjoy the ride anyway).  The fields are as black as peat so good for growing, but very wet - even in summer - so the subsidence has to be seen to be believed.  Just try the Holme - Yaxley road for instance...

We often go the the Admiral Wells in Holme for a meal.

We always come home via the old A1.

Don`t think the food or beer would stay down coming back the Yaxley road.  :lol:

Food still very good, especially the treacle sponge and custard.  :D
