RotLE Has New Silencer for Triumph Models

Riders of the Lost Empire (RotLE) is proud to announce the availability of a new silencer for select Triumph models.  Started in 1997 as a club for owners of British motorcycles, RotLE has evolved into a sort of ÏSamÌs ClubÓ for itÌs members.

From itÌs humble beginnings with less than 20 members, RotLE has grown to over 600 members in 6 countries.  Starting by discounting Throttlemeister Ù to itÌs members, RotLE is now handling a complete line of lighting accessories by Lighting Research, the Tankslapper line of paint and body protective panels and is the only authorized club discounter of SkyKingproducts.com and European Spares in the US.  They also sell the clubÌs artwork on a variety of shirts and other items and publish a quarterly newsletter, the Legends of the Lost Empire.

Founder Andrew Kay recently purchased a new Triumph Tiger and was disappointed in the cost and lack of options in the aftermarket for a slip-on silencer for that model.  Kay found a Florida stainless steel fabricator with more than 15 years experience building custom exhausts for the hot rod and custom car market who was willing to undertake development of a new ÏpipeÓ for his bike.

In keeping with the high standards of service and quality that RotLE has earned, the new slip-on is first rate.  Constructed entirely of stainless steel, the Tiger canister produces a rich, aggressive tone that is not likely to annoy the rider, innocent bystanders or the various tax-collectors employed by states, counties and municipalities.

A space-age ceramic fiber, developed for NASA as a heat shield, provides the necessary sound attenuation.  With a breakdown temperature of 2600 degrees (F), it is unlikely that this material will ever burn or blow-out.  The muffler body is welded shut and requires no maintenance other than cleaning and polishing to maintain itÌs bright finish.  Because the ceramic fibre reduces heat loss from the muffler body, the stainless shows reduced yellowing and heat passed to the panniers is markedly reduced.  The silencer is nearly 25% lighter than the stock unit, installs in minutes with the stock mounts and occupies less space.

Available for RotLE members at the price of $379 plus shipping and handling, the new silencer has been extensively tested and the initial production run almost sold out.  Models for the ST/RS are currently under production and will be available soon.  Other Triumph models will follow.

For those who do not wish to join RotLE, the silencers are also available to the public from www.SkyKingproducts.com.  Contact Andrew Kay at 888 258 4994 or mailto:andy@lostempire.com">andy@lostempire.com for more information.  Like almost all after-market mufflers, these units are for off-road use only and the motorcycle should use the latest Triumph ÏOff-RoadÓ or high performance tune.
