Any of you have strong opinions on a new sprocket set for my Tigger?  Sprocket Specialists has a nice selection but is it worth it to get anything more than the stock sprockets?  Next question would then be do you have any suggestions as to where I should buy them?

I've been using sprocket specialist front sprockets for years , can't beat the selection or price
for the rears I have been using JT Sprockets  Steel ones from dennis kirk although they don't list any for the 05-06 tigers

the steel stock sprocket for the 05-06 is only 65 bucks from a dealer so that is not a bad price for a decent sprocket either

the sprocket specialist rear aluminum alloy ones are very good but pricey
and I guess I just prefer a steel rear one for the tiger
the one time I did use the aluminum alloy I had no complaints about it and it lasted just as long as a steel one  with proper lubrication .............

me I like the stock gearing on a steamer 18/48
your Girly is 18/46 which is 2.56:1 so if you go with a 19/46 (2.42:1) you will get a bit better gas mileage and some will say a 19 is too tall and some will say the 955 can pull a 19 just fine .......it's a kinda like a oil and tire thing , everybody has their own idea / preference ......you have to figure out what works for you !

Thanks Mustang.  With Sprocket Specialists I've found it hard to understand which sprockets fit my Tiger.  Is it just best to call them?

You wrote 05-06 model. AFAIK the 06 cases are different to the 05. 06 uses the 1050 engine cases whereas the 05 has the same cases as all the other 955 models. Check exactly what you've got.
Short answer is sprockets that fit any 955 model are all the same.
Speed Triple or Sprint ST etc. all have the same splines as the Tiger955i. SP3 has a 19T front as standard so if you want to go that way just order an SP3 one.

Just a heads up on the sprockets.  My schedule made it impossible for me to call during business hours to Sprocket Specialists so I sent them an email asking for clarification on a sprocket for both front and rear to fit my 2006 Triumph Tiger.  They never returned the email.  I'm home now packing for my ChiTown trip and thought I'd give them a call.  They weren't very bright.  They could not get a rear sprocket for me and recommended me to a guy named Randy that will make one out of Aluminum for $75.  For $75 I can afford to wear them out sooner than steal.

Anyone have any opinions on this?

These guys have online ordering and have sprockets listed for the 05-06 tigers
the rears are aluminum alloy and you can get them in anodized colors for no xtra charge
they also have different teeth count available also

I have one on the rear of my CRF 450 Honda and has been on there for quite some time with no noticeable wear , which is fantastic considering the element that bikes gets used in ( mud dirt grit and grime )
