While waiting for the shop manual to arrive on my newly aquired Girly. The engine light came on for a short time then when I went to start the bike the next day it stayed off. Then came back on yesterday.
I checked the oil, water, it seems to be charging OK...

If anyone has a manual out there I would like to ask; What conditions trigger the engine light?
Thanks, Dave

there are so many things that can trigger the check engine light
the best thing you can do is get an obd II scanner and plug it in and see what codes come up . it could be an O2 sensor or even a gas gauge fault or tps sensor ....the list goes on and on

Mustang,
Where do I find one of those diagnostic testers and where is the socket?
