So the one I am buying is a factory new one, in the box,  bottom, but a used cover from somewhere else ? Just asking.

?!  No both pieces are brand new in the box.  That was posted before I got the new lid.

Cool - no offense intended.  It seems like I will soon be in the used pannier business.  After looking for a long time I may have some duplicates, so will be trying to recoup some of my expenses along the way - If these things weren't so hard to find in the correct color...
