Clutch Switch

So for the last couple of months my battery has been dying.  Fine for a days ride, but leave it three days and she needed a jump start.

To the point where I used a solar charger to trickle charge.  (cheaper than buying a new battery)

Also starting was becoming a hit and miss affair needing much "in & out" of the clutch.

Bypassing the clutch switch proved this was the problem item.

So I removed the switch and thoroughly cleaned it and hey presto two things

1. Starting now spot on

2, After two weeks the battery was still fine.

My question to those who know Tiger's electrics better than I is - could all the oil, muck, road grime built up in the clutch switch have caused a slow drain on the battery?  

Seems so.

You cleaned the top end right; where it's attached at the clutch lever?

Hi Wiggus,

Yes.

the switch built into the lever housing  pivot on the handlebar.

There's a little tag underneath press it in and the switch should pull out.

Well mine did.
