QuoteBut to answer your question, when it shudders...if I roll off the poer it will go away, if I dip the clutch it will go away, if I continue to accelerate through, it will go away.  When it comes it only lasts for about 1 to 1.5 seconds.

Sounds exactly the same as mine!!,your asking too much of the motor in the wrong gear.

Well if thats the case, it makes me feel better knowing that.  But trying to trouble shoot a problem I dont have enabled me to do a certain amount of work I probably wouldnt have done otherwise.  Like cleaning injectors and balancing throttle bodies and what not.

Thanks for the input as always, as I said im new to all this  :D

You need an open pipe, offroad tune,K+N filter and take the blanking plate out of the airbox,it will dramatically help your problem, unless your running too high a gear with too lower revs.

I have the TOR exhaust and tune, probably change to K&N when service is due

The answer to this is quite simple and is not dangerous at all.
The shudder you feel is simply the chain vibrating in harmony with the power pulses of the engine. That's why it's always at the same revs in any gear. You cannot eliminate it but you can make it less prominent by getting the chain adjustment spot on. Also, you may have noticed that you can ease through this shudder patch by reducing the throttle setting.
I had exactly the same shudder on a Suzuki TS200R some years ago. I discovered what it was by looking at the chain when it was happening and seeing it waggling up and down.
Simples!

They all do that, sir! Mine certainly does, and I know it's when the motor's being lugged in too-lower gear. I suspect it's a harmonic set up between engine power impulses and the cush drive rubbers' natural squishability frequency. Or some such bollocks. ;-)

Thanks guys

Well.....my chain is due for inspection so will do that tomorrow, if it goes then all well and good, if not, at least I know it's not serious.

Thanks again
