Heated grips

My new to me 03 Girly doesn't have heated grips. I ride year round here in the Pacific Northwest and I think of them as a necessity. Was really put off by the $239 price tag for the OEM heated grips from the local Triumph dealer. I do like the neatness of the switch in the right hand side switch pod, so I ordered the OEM switch from  http://www.bikebandit.com/ for $45 incl.sh/hdl and mylar type heated grips from http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/ ... =SLIsearch for $55 sh/hdl to combine for a, IMO, neat set up.
What do you guys do for warm hands in fall/winter/spring? Alternatives? $100 sounds good to me for heated grips!?

Have you checked Saito or Oxford heated grips? I know that these are worth of recommending.

I have the Oxford grips that I purchased from TwistedThrottle.com.  They are excellent as far as heat goes.  The controlller is a bit difficult to use with gloves on, especially in the dark.  Overall, however, a good buy.

By the way, I have found TwistedThrottle an excellent bunch to buy from.  Excellent customer service.

I installed the Oxford grips on my iger as well.  They are easy to hook up and they work nicely.  I agree about the controller being a bit difficult to use with gloves on though.

I used Hot Grips all this winter. Seems like I paid less than 75 American. Used a switch from a late model Subaru, 'cause it's illuminated and has an 'ON' indicator. Hot Grips come with a switch, but the Subie switch is posh.

These grips received a 'Best" rating from Rider magazine, and I do NOT disagree. Heat is enough for riding at below freezing temps on 'High', and 'Low is good for all else.

I also use 'HippoHands" to shield my digits from the wind. Together they are, IMHO, de riguer for winter riding.

I have been thinking about replacing mine with the one that has the nice light in it... but, for anyone wanting to add the switch - they are pretty inexpensive.
