Socket size question?

Bought a 27mm for 06' Girly rear axle nut. Seems just about as 'sloppy' as a 1 1/16" SAE. Did I procure the wrong size ? Or perhaps the nut corners are just buggered.

ummmmmm.................27mm (1.0629 inches)is actually to close to 1 1/16th(1.062) for there to even be a difference , either the nut is a "loose fit " or you need a 26mm

27 mm it is - got a 26 mm, too small. Thanks for the assistance gentlemen. Yeah Mustang - appears to be NO difference between a 1 1/16th & 27 mm - almost identical. Good to know in a pinch. Toodles, j
