Title: The Loft of Plenty
Post by: Nick Calne on April 23, 2016, 07:26:04 PM
I had another good root around in the loft this afternoon and found several more crates of steamer stuff.

I also have an engine (45000miles) and a front wheel to go in what must be the biggest clear-out of steamer parts from my loft since I did this a few months ago.

If you want something from the pile then make me a derisory offer /swap for beer and I'll send it to you.

Oohhhhh Steamer bits  :love10

I'm assuming the speedo is in miles since you're in the UK ?  If it's Kmh I'll take it.

I would like the side stand, gear shift lever and smoked screen if you would ship to Canada, V4A 6S6.

Good grief, how could forget you had all that, you must have a loft the size of the Sistine Chapel  :icon_scratch: pm coming soon.

Steamer speedos (all the ones I've ever seen) are dual scale worn the miles being the more prominent per ring.

Speedo is mph as it is a UK one. Everything else is good to go through. I'll weigh it and let you know how much to ship it to Canada as experience tells me it can be prohibitively expensive. But we might get lucky this time.

There is more in there yet Sin. My wife hoards stuff and the bike stuff is at the back which means it takes a real effort to shift it about.

That's what I have as the bike was a US import.  I'm thinking Canadian models and most of the European models would have Km on the outside.

Cheapest shipping option is fine with me I'm not in a rush.

The rubbery thing. Free plus P and P.
The hub is part of a complete wheel which I'd like to sell as a whole thing ideally.

Not sure, but when I was a kid I got in trouble when once asked to recite the Topic advert song by my mother.  Remember that one? The song goes, "what has a hazlenut in every bite.... Topic".  However I sang, "what has a hazlenut in every bite.... squirrel shit".

And was promptly sent to bed.

Hey, can you tell me how much shipping to The Netherlands will cost me? Looks like the previous owner felt the need to slap a wall with his hand guards...

I would love the smoked windscreen, but imagine the postage alone would kill the deal.

Maybe we could drop the windscreen in the same package? I visit Sparky's area often enough to drop by.

BTW, Sparky, will you be around home May 22~24? I'll be passing though after a road/dirt trip to Moab Utah

Fishin', Sparky... looked into the question.... to ship a speedo (in mph and kph), a smoke windscreen, a gear lever and a sidestand is going to cost about £60... which is about 110 canadian dollars or 90 US ones.

I was gonna ask for £50 for all the bits. So it would work out at about 200 canadian dollars.

I'll do it if you want but it feels like a lot of money guys. I've set these bits aside for you until you decide.

Hello Aeschere

I have 2 pairs available of which only one of the four parts is unscratched.  The others have been abraded in some kind of struggle to get a bike through a narrow passage way escapade!  Postage will be about £10 to £15 according to parcel2go.  Let me know what you would like to do.

What price on the windscreen? If good, I'm in for 1 of 3 pieces on the postage.

Hey Nick!

The 3-1 system I got from you last year is on the bike and fits nicely. But the darned thing won't start at all atm... Sigh! Wanted to show it off, but not until it runs.

Anyways.. do you have an Airbox? or perhaps the 3 rubber pipes that goes between the Airbox and the carburettors, in good shape?

I might also be slightly interested in the gear shift leaver. Thinking about cutting it up and weld a custom out of it. But want to have a spare original if it goes wrong.

I know the shipping for a large exhaust system was a bit pricey, but what about shipping something smaller and lighter like these parts to Sweden?

No worries mate!

I've had my hands full with other things on the bike, so I wouldn't have been able to do anything with those bits anyway.

Stuff people have asked for...

Dan.. two sets of hand guards. All serviceable. A bit scratched except 1. No shock. Double checked that.

Pa3k... I have the airboxes. No rubbers. No snorkel cap. Have a couple of gear levers.

Ghulst.. just in case yours doesn't work out. I have a complete and quite nice front bracket.

I dont mind stuff shipping anywhere btw.

Hi Nick,

Yes sorry for not being proactive. I haven't got the funds to buy them from you yet so put them back on the market for now and at some point I might get in contact for them from you again.

Cheers,

Dan
