Title: camshaft choice.

evenin all. ive just read somewhere on here bout daytona cams fittin the tiger. can anyone give me any more clues and hints for this. might be somthin ill do in the future.

The book of words says the sprint, daytona etc cams all fit in, I don't believe there is any issues there. You may want to do further research whether these sport models also had higher compression pistons, changes in carb jetting, zorsts etc before you embark down that road though. I don't see the point myself tbh. The bike is pretty slick as it stands without dressing it in another man / womans clothes and you may just end up sacrificing low end torque for power gains just where you don't need it.

pretty much that's the scenario

and the pistons are diff also  don't get "green color coded " cams as thats whats in the tiggers already . daytona cams are green if I am not mistaken , unless you score some cams from a daytona super III..you want early speed triple cams

If I remember correctly the Daytonas had forged pistons.  And different ignition maps.  I think without all the necessary ingredients, you'd be disappointed at best, fooked in the A at worst.

cheers for all ya replys ;) and cos of em i dont think ill bother. i like the power delivery that it has. so i wont be changin nuffin. jus hope it works when i try it nex week with what i have got. :roll:
