I currently have a 955i Tiger and am thinking of moving over to a 1050,how is it for the pillion? Neither myself or the other half are small people and the 955i suits us well but the 1050 pillion seat looks very high in comparison to the rider,is a 1050 a comfortable place to be for a pillion? any input much appreciated.
The seat itself is not bad as pillion perches go but I hope she likes seeing over the top of your lid :icon_eek: I believe the Sport is better but not verified.
We test rode a 1050 sport last year and it went well worked fine two up and steered well,my other half having done a 1000 miler on the back of our 955 said it was fine.
What I didn't like was how my like legs felt cramped after a while and the motor revved its tits off compared to the 955 which is fine for a Sunday moring thrash, stock V stock I'd take a 1050 every time but my 955 isn't remotely stock and I was glad to get back on the old girl after our test, but if it went bang tomorrow a 1050 would get the job done.
I'd be looking at a circa 07-09 1050 so the sport isn't really an option.I'm keeping the 955 but i'm looking at a second Tiger to keep at the other half's house and fancied a 1050 but i think i might end up getting another 955.

now that's a testimonial for ya
This is the only real reason I traded mine for the Trophy. Come to think of it, the 1050 ST's are a good buy and a comfy distance beast by all accounts, plenty around within the same sort of budget.
Can't comment on what the back part of the seat is like because I have yet to have anyone wanting to ride on the back. :icon_lol: As has been mentioned, however, they are going to get a lovely view of the road ahead.
The front of the seat is ok, but after 2 hours it is definitely time to get off for a stretch.
