That looks fantastic. I'd order today if I wasn't running 17" front w/street rubber.

I'd by one for my steamer, for sure.

That's not out of the question.  I simply don't have ready access to a Steamer for research and development.

However, TigerRider doesn't live too far from here.  With the correct motivation (beer and food), he may allow me to poke and prod his '98.

I'll get with him and then post an update in "Steamers".

Hey Stretch...
I know the Tigers seem to run cool all the time...
but will the high fender reduce air flow to the radiator
enough to have any major effect on operating temp..
especially hot weather, city traffic?

I like the look!

I plan on running it as it is.  I've noticed no change in engine temperature at all.

High-fender owners are free to ventilate their fenders as they wish, but I'm supplying the fenders unventilated.

Frankly, my tiger runs so cool that I wouldn't worry.  Mine barely gets out of the C area on the temp gauge, and I live in the desert.

Um, nope.

PM me your city and postal code so I can guesstimate shipping via UPS, FedEx, etc.

Thanks.

My local auto paint suppliers aren't able to mix the correct Triumph colors, so I won't be painting any of these to match.  Sorry.

Stretch,

I'm still planning on one of your kits for my BRG.  Just been spending too much money buying boots and getting ready for a big underwater photography trip.  8)

I also noticed a bash plate on the late model silver tiger WITH the center stand. What model bash plate is that? I have an 06 and haven't seen a bash plate that would fit with the center stand.

Stretch banged it together in his workshop and did a fine job. Probably took a long time to save all those beer cans for the raw materials :D

Just a weekend.  My brother-in-law helped me drain the cans and dispose of all that pesky beer.  (http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/aetsch/cheeky-smiley-025.gif)

So Stretch, what's your next project? :?:
Title:
Post by: Stretch on December 09, 2007, 06:56:21 PM
I'm going to get a few square feet of 3/16" acrylic and experiment a bit, trying to come up with a larger Laminar Lip-type device to help the airflow coming over and around my Cee Bailey barn door screen.  That'd be nice for longer trips in cool weather.

Try to reduce the pressure behind the screen. Raise the inlet up by spacing the screen/cowling area....
Old MRA lip from previous ride:

I'll try to find the pics of the spacing...[/img]

Title: high front fender

That MX fender looks great!  Are there any downsides when at highway speeds?

I'd love one for my '99 885i

None. Couple of trips over 200 miles in a sitting. Temps normal, no adverse effects at all! (except for the usual questions being on the tiger :))

I don't see a post showing the fender?

The last time I talked to stretch about one, he was out of the hi-fender makin' business, unfortunately.  Like Mustang said however, it can't hurt to ask.

We lost a great resource when stretch left motorcycling and this site after his accident.    A curse on the person that hit him.
