Hmm, let me think, spending hours in a darkened garage trying to trace a fault on a Ducati, or test riding shiny new bikes in the sunshine?

Shame work has to interfere too.

I'm sure you won't be too far behind me Ghulst  :thumbsup

Some great scenery there - I hope you took plenty to eat!

Well, I can get mine out on the road without problems. However, it won't do much. :D And if you look at my calendar, that is not going to be fixed soon...

All sorted & running nicely. Over night, well about 2.30am, it struck me that with the choke on, it runs at around 3500rpm, so maybe the choke plungers are sticking. I have a chat with my tame Triumph mechanic, explaining the symptoms & he thought the same.

Off come the carbs again to run them over to his workshop. I lay them carefully on a cloth and notice one butterfly doesn't look quite the same as the others. 1, 3 & 4 were shut while there was a thin black line noticeable under the butterfly on carb 2. Enough to push the revs up. A quick adjustment, carbs back on& balanced up within an hour.

Just have to find some bolts for the bottom of the fairing, a good clean & polish & fingers crossed, Tabitha is ready for her appointment with Mr MOT 😀

That is after I insure her.

That really is one gruesome story... Glad you made it to the other side safely. ;) But sad that you had to cut it short.

The boys and I had planned a 4 day ride up the California coast but poor weather and a bee sting to the eye cut things short.
Soo, we ended up on the golden chain highway (49) then 20 to Donner pass, then east shore of Lake Tahoe and back down 4.
I only got one useable picture at Donner lake, as we were mostly just eating up the miles.
Goggle Donner party if you don’t know the story. Pretty gruesome.
