Title: Just returned from my Alaska trip
Post by: cba191 on July 23, 2014, 01:23:49 AM
I got back on Sunday. I did ~7200 miles in 24 days. The bike was flawless.
A couple things that I learned:
  Alaska is far
Alaska requires more than 3 1/2 weeks
Suspension upgrades are worth the money
I really want to go back to top loader luggage (touratech actually had a set of their racks available, so I ordered the racks.  I just need to decide on the boxes now)
And lastly, I absolutely love this bike!  Next year I'm going to see Maine

I will definitely do Alaska again when I I have more time available.

They're also not easy to close when stuff shifts. I love the look of the factory luggage, but the only good thing about them is the left one fits a helmet.
