Title: Dropped the sidelight into the headlamp shell. Any suggestions?
Post by: London_Phil on December 17, 2021, 01:07:27 PM
As above. Failed bulb fell out of holder after trying to remove with beak on.
Now lying under right reflector, between reflector and outer "glass"
Does the outer "glass" separate from the assy, or do I need to turn the bike upside down, and shake it?

If that doesn't work, you could try a piece of silicone hose with the other end stuffed into a shop vac sealed with duct tape.

Vacuum and small bore plastic tube via one of the headlamp bulb mounting finally got it out. Realised the beak really does cause the problem when the new one did the same after I tried to fit the new one... got the new one out with the vac, and now going to order a standard Osram long life, not the dodgy LED I was using....and remove the beak to fit it...

Sorry I forgot to state that you need to take the H4 out to get enough wiggle room  :icon_redface: Glad you managed to get it out though  :eusa_clap
