Hi guys'n'gals!
I've been looking at some of your user names ... i was just wondering where you got them? and why.
My username came from my email address, but originaly from the Hellfire air-ground missile used on the Westland Apache AH-64D longbow helicopter.
Those good old days!
Cheers...Andy
When I first got my Tiger I was riding with a bunch of fellows and went to turn my high beams on. Hit the kill switch instead. Big joke. The name stuck.
Paka is swahili for cat. There is no word for tiger as they don't have any in africa.
Paka does not have a last name but some online friends suggested the following.
Smokes
Stan
Paka
Obvious, names Tim and I ride a Tiger
Regards
Tim
If you see my hair you will know why I use Badger. :?
My name is Charlie and I road my Norton from 73 when I bought it till 02 when I bought my Tiger. I tried some other names when signing up on a Tiger mail group and NortonCharlie was the 1st one that came up good.
My handle, admittedly, is lame. Wore a pair of jeans to work, manufactuer, Wrangler. Don't normally wear jeans. My seceratary called to me across the office of co-workers. "Hey Wrangler". Next weekend participated in company softball tournament and the name stuck.
Seemed like a good anomynous nombre for internet surfing
When I first started posting on these sites, I was in work, with the memory of a glorious Sunday ride on my Vincent 1952 Black Shadow fresh in my mind. It seemed the obvious choice of user id, and has since stuck over a number of different sites.
All the best,
Shadow.
Mine is because I spent some time protecting Badgers years ago.
I can also be a stubborn old bastard.
OK OK
The name's a bit of a giveaway, I guess i make violins (electric of course!!) :D
:-({|=
Hi,
keep them ID's coming!... this thread is getting very interesting :D
Cheers...Andy
My name comes from my tour of Japan. Gaijin is Japanese for a foreign person, an outsider. It's mildly impolite. I think that as riders we are all outsiders, members of a minority, and it's something we wear with pride. When we travel and tour to see new places we're foreigners. The moment we stop moving, stop touring, stop learning from what we see...then we're not travelers any more, not foreigners. So--ridin gaijin.

You can protect me anytime.
My real name backward, its always seems to be free on BBs
I grew up on the Mississippi and lived on a house boat for a while so I actually lived ON the river, other people from the midwest would call us riverrat's so it seemed right. Your not anyone round here unless you own a boat.
I do some part-time work at a TV station, producing promos. Chyron in a piece of equipment I use.
My surname backwards!
Hmmm... Lets see... I have a Tiger... and therfore I'm an owner... and I live in Utah (please help me)... Nope, can't for the life of me remember where I got it.
From a skateboarding program in the UK called 'Rad' (I know, I should start acting my age). There was a battery powered toy pig which did somersaults called piggydude, and my kids found the name amusing.
Jim
It's my name. I lack imagination.
I also lack imagination...
tri99sprint......Triumph, 1999, SprintST......in my garage, motor dis-assembled, now riding an 04 Tiger, in Black!
Although I am directionally challenged, ( I get so lost that usually there ins't anyone to ask for directions!), my name is short for LOST Shaker Of Salt.

but it makes very interesting reading :)
Cheers...Andy
I got my name when a bunch of us were sleepin in an abondoned cottage down the country in ireland many years ago on one of our bike trips and I found an old wardrobe to kip in , so off to sleep I went with the door closed and in the morning the lads were looking for me and I stuck me head up out of the wardrobe and scared the shite out of me mate's missus and she screamed something horrible like about a bleedin' zombie staring at her and the name stuck.. mind you some mornings I do feel like a zombie
but it's been about 20yrs since anyone's called me that
Mine used to be slightly ironic, but has become increasingly more so over the years.
Mine comes from lack of imagination and plus I knacked up my first registration for oldishnovice, which is who I am on other sites, I'm getting old(ish) but not too old as not to still be learning stuff, still a novice of life and all that stuff.
Name comes from the bike i've just bought a '98 Caspian Blue Tiger.
On a long tour with my long time riding buddies. Late one evining I retired to the tent early while the rest hung around the fire. Shortly after that I felt the "call". I snuck off in the woods wearing only, well, wearing only me.
Let me set the stage. I am big, very hairy, and pretty ugly. After finishing my business I was sneaking back to my tent when one of my friends looked over and caught my nakedness sneaking into camp. He blurted out "Oh $hit! it's Sasquatch!" It stuck. I also fit the description of big foot, I wear a size 14.
:) Always ran around with my Dad....and so introduced as Donald. the # 4 son...(out of 6) the # key never worked on an old BBS so texted it is!
Doctordee is the longer version of D.R.D which are my initials. As a child, teenager and adult, I still receive post to Doctor Darryl McCullagh, friends saw this and I have been called this ever since.
I am a geologist and ride a Tiger
Eats, roots, shoots and leaves.
As in ÏKoala BearÓ
I have no imagination, so I picked some random numbers and characters: 2004Tiger
Seeing this miracle take place, I had no choice but to go out and buy the first one I could find. No regrets.
Triplefan - Because I am... Always like the British 3's and have several Yamaha triples.
On most forums I'm CBMMA1969. 1969 for the year I bought my first mototorcycle and here's an explaination on the CBMMA http://www.cbmma.net/cbmma-faq.html (http://www.cbmma.net/cbmma-faq.html) and we really are cheap.... :smt003
J. Breeze is short for Jimmy Breeze. The boss came into the office on day and showed off a web site, www.playerappreciate.com (http://www.playerappreciate.com), that generates "Pimp" names for all you playa's. Fooling around, Jimmy Breeze came up and it stuck.
Check out the site for gold "grills" and iced-out jewelry. Hum, should be a way to ice-out the Tiger. Ah...maybe not!
The avatar is a picture of my favorite golf course in Mazatlan.
grrrh is the registration plate on my 06 caspian blue tiger.
My last name is fisher, when I was a kid , well.. even now, my friends call me fishlips, fishface, fishhead, fishdick, fishbone ,ect.... I thought fishbone was better than fishdick.
zadok - Out of the Bible. Old Testament Priest.
Rode and raced dirt bikes many years ago, then from about 5 years ago bored anyone who would listen about how I was 'gunna' get an adventure bike.
I never made it happen but kept talking about it so when I needed a web name for Adv rider a couple of years ago it seemed appropriate. Thankfully I finally did something about it.
The mythical Jayhawk is unique to Kansas, and also the mascot for the University of Kansas. I graduated from there about a million years ago. It didn't look like anyone else was using it for a user name when I signed in.
Part of mine comes from my friends nickname for me"Dano" and the second half from another friend and co-worker yelling "Dawg" at me from across the building when he sees me.
Live it up!
Dan
Last name, first initial.
If I'd have known I'd get my first choice on my egoplate, it would have been 'Hang 10'.
Although I don't normally feel as though my occupation reflects who I am, I chose TRKTEK as in truck technician.........fancy was of saying greasy fricken mechanic........
Way back in the mists of time my first "proper" bike was a pre unit Tiger 100 which I customisied as only an 18 year old can. since it was black and I was a Stones fan it was christened the Midnight Rambler after a favourite track from the Let it Bleed album.
Although the song is actually about the Boston strangler somehow the words seemed appropriately agressive to an impressionable youth.
FF many years and I find myself the owner of a black Tiger again, so it had to be.
Easier to follow me to the Tiger Ride-Ins ....
Come have a good time and meet other Tiger riders.!
part my last lame part guzzi

My best bud is a lobsterman. His boat is the Haulin' Daze. He hauls traps hungover :smt030 . Also a great sauce on eggs! Figured I'd steal it from him since I'm haulin' around on the bike.

Nice code name on your profile location
Incidentally, Ron Paul is running for President. He is probably the best-kept secret in WDC, i.e. he is intelligent, verbally coherent, and fiscally responsible. He has a strong and unwaivering libertarian voting record. Check him out:

Stan = my given name
egoli = means "place of gold", the name given to Johannesburg by the miners who came from all over southern Africa to work on the gold mines.....my hometown.
Mine's self explanatory. I stay up way too late at night. Also use the name Nightrunner on other lists. I like to run/jog after dark.
Graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!!!! 8) ) and, well, you know my ride...
Mine came about after getting turned on to Geocaching and being a fan of my Land Rover for getting to some remote caches.
I am kinda proud of mine, and I seem to be able to use it everywhere...

Quote from: "georover1"Mine came about after getting turned on to Geocaching and being a fan of my Land Rover for getting to some remote caches.
Yeah, I was gonna pick that name too, but you already had it. I like it because I am a geologist and I too have a Land Rover (99 DI).
Laters,
Interesting Tiger - Land Rover connection showing up, I love my old 110
My 05 was British Racing Green.
I used to love to read the old DC and Marvel comic books when I was a kid and of course the Green Lantern was my favorite.
I'm now a playwright and screenwriter. A few years ago when the comic book movies became popular again I wrote a draft for the Green Lantern. The industry loved it but of course you know how the movie biz is.
Anyway, I collided with a Tractor-trailor on Jan. 3rd 07 and my BRG Tiger
is gone.
I'm looking for a used 06 but they didn't come in Green. Oh well.
Jimmy Hendrix....Band of Gypsys
Mine came from a Tiger, as well as many other bikes
The one with the painted moustache...
I simply like that certain kind of humour.
This name was given to me back in my sportsbike days when I was not a very fast rider compared to some of the lads.
But I did have a set of Dainese 1 piece racing leathers so I diid look the part. 'All the gear - no idea'.
Happily I can report that I have spent years on big trail bikes and I'm pretty much able to kick sportsbike ass on the twisties!
This is a great question! I've looked at everyone's names and thought the same thing!
Mine comes from my motorcycle touring company that's based in California, Great Escape Motorcycle Tours.
Dug Shelby
Mine came from what I do. I work at a State mental health center as an R.N.
