Title: How has the Wilber suspension worked out?
Post by: TiggerTwo on November 21, 2005, 12:07:31 AM
Hello,

Awesome Tiger - Black!

I am interested in knowing how the Wilber suspension has worked out for you.

I have contacted Wilbur for a quote on front and rear '641 componentry.

Did you get the height shortened too? - I'm considering this also.

What types of terrain have you tested it on? - dirt and road?

What componentry, specifically, did you purchase from Wilber? - 641 ?

What was the cost?

Did you have it professionally installed? How much did that cost?

How long did it take to receive and install the system?

Thank you very much for the help! Sorry for all the questions but so far you are the only one I found that has done this.

Thanks again - in advance!

Walt

Hi,

I try to answer to your question:

Hello,

Did you get the height shortened too? - I'm considering this also.

I'haven't no problem for the height, my shock is like origina height.

For me it's possible have a shock assorber shorter than original It's necessay communicate the length of reduction when you order it.

But for me it's not a good idea, becuse after it's necessary have a front of bike shorter than original to replace the original equilibro.

Also you have a light to earth limited .

You can obtain a maximum  riduction of 1-2 cm.

What types of terrain have you tested it on? - dirt and road?

Road and track .The tiger is fantastic!!!

What componentry, specifically, did you purchase from Wilber? - 641 ?

Wilbers set your mono for your wheight and your use of bike.

I prefer a sport setting and only road use.

What was the cost?

700ƒ for mono

Did you have it professionally installed? How much did that cost?

The first time my dealer installed this, but when put idraulic preload I'm

the istaller

How long did it take to receive and install the system?

I'don't know.
