After installing the Touratech handguards on my 955i I noticed they may hit the tank when turning over!!
Awaiting a solution, I did put a rubber cap on it :doubt
Anybody solved this problem?

If its just the bolt head thats catching, how about using a countersunk headed bolt?
yes, that's worth trying. Must look for a countersunk M6x70
I have them (or a similar type anyway) on my 955i but also have 25mm bar risers which seem to avoid the problem. They also do what I got them for ie give a slightly more upright position.
:5huh Mine don't hit the tank - I'll get a photo later. :thumbsup
Thanks BB! I'm very curious.
Here y' go no-where near the tank:

If you get no joy, i have a set of 25mm risers sitting in my garage doing nothing :hat10
Mine don't come anywhere near the tank. If I can remember how to put photo's up i will cheers Spud :thumbsup
Maybe your bars are angled back further than they should be.
@ BB: according to the photo, it looks like the handguard clamp is placed slightly higher then on mine..?? Maybe the handlebar on a 2005 is a bit different then the 2003?? or the handlebar support slightly higher??
@ Dan: yes, you've got a point. I think, as far as I remember, when I bought the Tiger I turned the handlebar back verry verry little.
I'll sort this out :thumbsup
Mine is the same as Bixxers fits fine.
Problem solved.
Managed to set the clamp a little higher (are a bit flexible) and used stainless flat head bolt. :qgaraduate
