Title: Project bike
Post by: jeffcrigler on January 23, 2013, 03:49:26 PM
This is my Tiger 2000. It was left outside, uncovered, and full of fuel for 5 years.Got it running after a month... Now I've challenged myself to get it ride ready and restored in 2 months.I'll post progress ...And there were tons of Mud Daubers living under every spot conceivable 7 nest in all .... You can just see the bike where it sat outside ( It' the blip in front of the shed in the back yard ) It had sunk into the ground 8", with dirt and grass over both tires. And Of Course A Pick of what I want it to look like

So did you change the light sockets too (looks like maybe in the photos)??   FWIW I installed LED's in all the instruments on my own Tiger and found bulbs to fit the stock sockets at superbrightleds
After some experimentation used green for the speedo, white for the tach, red for fuel and temp....also used green LED's for the turn and neutral indicators, BIG improvement
Very nice work on your bike

I bought some LEDs also from SuperBright but found a quad set for each socket ( except the clock and tach) from my local auto parts store ( I soldered those into the tack and clock) very bright
And now a picture of on of my prize finds .. My wife bought it for me off Craig's list
In case you can't see it its a rare Triumph watch
