Title: Oil drain plug crush washer diameter?
Post by: Rallyroo on May 18, 2013, 11:39:32 PM
The service manual doesn't turn up much for this... doesn't help that it's an unsearchable PDF!

What's the ID for the oil pan drain crush washer? Also, just to verify, the correct filter is KN 192 or Fram 6012, correct?

Any special considerations for an oil change on the Steamer beyond the usual stuff? (don't forget the O-rings, etc.)

I suppose the washer comes together with the screw, although I'm not sure ...
I always use bikebandit.com for OEM id's. See if this link helps:

Thanks, although I think I am a little dense.  :icon_scratch: I am not seeing the drain plug nor crush washers on any of those diagrams.

According to the manual, it's either an M22 or an M14 bolt, but my service book covers thunderbirds, daytonas, sprint, etc. etc.

So which does the Tiger have?

Will have to check, don't have the bike here, it'll be in couple of days that we meet. In the meantime, maybe a more experienced steamer owner can clear that out...
