Title: Mikuni carb part?
Post by: rf9rider on May 28, 2013, 12:12:03 AM
Another little job to do, don`t ask me how, but the manual idle adjuster has come away from the bracket, anyone tell me how it`s supposed to fit, as i must be missing a clip or something?

Or if anyone`s got a set of carbs for spares i could get the bits from?

As I'm currently dismembering my second Tiger, I bothered  :icon_lol: to take a couple of pictures just for you. Hope it helps  :icon_salut:, it seems to me like you got all the pieces, but they are not holding on together  :icon_scratch:

Thanks for that, looks like the washer on the back of the bracket is my problem, though looks like no way to keep it tight on the spindle piece.

Should be swaged on if I remember rightly, which I often don't   :icon_scratch:

If my memory is correct, it is similar looking to a wiring grommet but made of nylon, possibly just worn through with time and vibration.

Yup, looks/feels like a nylon washer.

New part is £30 from Triumph, guess it can wait until i can find a secondhand one or repair it somehow.

No hurry though, it still functions  :icon_lol:
