Title: Coolant overflow connector KAPUT !
Post by: TigerTrax on October 09, 2013, 04:47:04 AM
My coolant connector ( Top / original / Kandy plastic ) is broken off at the reservoir.

If I recall.... replacement is usually brass 90° ....

I looked for a few minutes at the home depot before I realized the right size is a PEX pipe 90.  Usually they are in a different spot than the standard brass fittings.  They fit perfect though.

Thanks Matt...
I went down and purchased the brass PEX 90° 3/8"  x 3/8" elbow; $2.00

Fits perfect in hose and reservoir. 10 seconds to install.

For those of you with a Girly ( maybe others ) ... get one of these connectors
and replace the plastic elbow...
at least carry it with you. That connector will break... they always do.

Kuz...
The pic shows a 3/16"  x  3/16" dia tube for that elbow....
I think it's too small a diameter. Mine is 1/16" larger diameter and fits
nice and tight. That might be the problem.
