Title: Clutch basket tightening
Post by: dfender110 on July 08, 2014, 10:40:41 PM
Does anyone have any ways of holding the clutch basket while tightening the center nut? I know there is a specific tool but I dont have one. I am thinking of trying a strap wrench, just don't want to damage anything.

Anyway, once I get the DAR kit installed and check my valves... 22k miles with no trusted history.   I should be good to ride the rest of the season.

Easy enough to make one yourself, basically its a piece of flat bar with a bend in it.

I`ll try and find a picture for you.

#19 is the real deal triumph one
you can make one by bolting two clutch plates together.
Triumph charges almost a C note for it  :bug_eye

Thanks guys. I will try to find a piece of flat stock around here I can modify.  The clutch plate idea looks good when I get some extra plates laying around.   T
