I was having an issue with low end surging, so I downloaded the map from tuneecu and loaded the stock map and reset my TPS. I got rid of the low end surging but the bike doesn't have the same snappy throttle response it had before. Also when I did the TPS reset procedure (According to the youtube example for the 1050) I never did see the little grey box turn green. Did I do something wrong and is that why I lost the snappy throttle response? Any advice.
The 1050 TPS is different to the 955.
Read the TuneEcu info on their site to reset TPS.
It would be a good idea to cycle the IACV as well as these can have limited movement.
Adjusting the Long Term Fuel Trim should return the snappy throttle.
Which map did you download to the ECU?
I tried several different tunes (10172, TOR 10173 and 10173AFMod) with the same results. Bike runs good (no more low rpm surging) but I lost that snappy throttle response. I did adjust the LTFT from 5.5. down to 4.5 but I never noticed any difference.
Currently:
Idle fuel trim is adjusted to 1.6
IACV is adjusted to -9
Long term fuel trim to 4.5
At a loss and not sure how to return the throttle response that was there before I did the remap.
I also just noticed when I did a history report it showed:

This indicates that the bike had the 10120 tune in it before I downloaded the new map. Which would of been the original map since the bike still only has 2500 Kms on it..
Is your VIN# before or after 206546?
The reason I ask is that 206546 and prior VINs use the 10120 as a stock flash of the ECU. Both 10172 (stock tune) and 10173 (TOR tune) are for 206547 and up. The TOR tune for VIN#s 206546 and below is 10121 which maps fuel differently (used with aftermarket can). You may want to ensure you have the correct map for the ECU you have before you "tweak" further.
LTFT should be around 4.18
Balance the throttle bodies before you start frigging with anything else (assuming you do have the right map of course). And I know you didn't touch them, but they go out of tune really easily. So do 'em.
Also, loading various maps as you have will have cleared the trims. You'll have to ride it some to get them back right. You can help by doing an "Adaptation", read how in the how-to section. If you have an O2 sensor you need 10173.

Second on balancing the throttle bodies. They do go out easily especially if all your external screw locking compound is gone (Had some "blue" goo factory stuff)
Err, jumped a little quickly, the 10173 is for aftermarket pipes which are more free-flowing :icon_redface:
10172 is for standard cans, although many people run the 10173 regardless.
