When I called to collect, only 2 of 3 reserved had come in. So they give me the 170 piece for the same price! Used it today fitting a new piston/ring in my son's KTM.

Couldn't find the 120 piece, only a 90 piece set.  Reserved at Kings Lynn but Halfords were true-to-form and didn't actually have one in stock when I went to pick it up.  No such luck as to get a 170 piece from these muppets who simply weren't interested saying you'll have to come back Monday.  When I pointed out it was their system at fault they said I should have rung first to check.  Checked the Dereham branch, two showing in stock but the same; didn't actually have any on the shelf.  I've ordered a set on line which will be here next week, or so they say....  :icon_rolleyes:

I'd have told them to stuff it but,as Sin says, they are good tools at the price and it is a very good price....

We use these socket sets or variations of them at work, they stand up well to proper workshop use.I would recommend them.
I ordered some oil that was on offer for the car,so thats the next two oil changes sorted out.

I've had a Halfrauds socket set since 1989, the ratchet handles were crap, (the nylon bodied ones with alloy plates). but the sockets and extensions etc are still going strong after plenty of abuse. most of the Kamakasi and snap-off ones I've had are long gone.
