Next time your out on a bike do you think you'll have your wits about you when A bridge is about to drop on your head and your quick witted enough to lay the bike down  :bug_eye

You not kidding and several busted ribs looks like some kind of Trallie looking at the photos on the Beeb site.

So they`re blaming the inside truck with the digger type thing on...how come it doesn`t show any sign of damage and how did it clear the gantry in the photo??

The digger was on a low loader, but was on travelling on the hard shoulder for reasons unknown. The bridge was struck at the point where it curves down to the side, by the knuckle joint of the digger. In some photos you can see the concrete markings on the joint of the digger, where the bucket attaches.
