Title: How complicated to change the speedo from kpm version to MPH version?
Post by: Greytiger on July 06, 2018, 01:16:25 PM
Hi

I have an 02 955 imported from europe - thus KPM speedo.
I'd like to replace this for MPH speedo plenty of which are available.

Is it as simple as just swapping them over ?

Is there any way to open the speedo and replace the white facia?

anyone done so and hit any snags?

thanks

dr

on the 955's I believe the speedo is all you have to change , as the signal is a magnetic impulse from the front wheel
but there could well be something in the ecu that says otherwise................

Im with Mustang, pretty sure the 1050 was the first Tiger where the instruments started communicating with the ECU
