Post by: Brother Number One on July 13, 2006, 03:47:04 PM
Hi All,

I've put my panniers on ebay:

If anyone from this forum is interested, I can be more flexible with regard to getting the panniers to you.

Check out the other stuff, too:

I'll knock a third off the postage of CDs and books if the winner mentions this forum. :D

Hi

Just wondering how you rate the Zega cases? Are they lockable?

I'm thinking of a long trip and have been looking at this type of case as there is more room than the standard panniers.

Can't rate them high enough.  They hold much more than the plastic, clam shaped pan ears not only bacause they are just plain bigger but also because of the cuboid shape.

They latch closed, then you can lock them with a screwdriver or you can put padlocks on.  Downsides are that you have to open the things and partially unpack to take them off the bike; and two panniers need four padlocks.  Personally, I would avoid the matching backbox as it looks a bit small :D
