Post by: steammoto on October 06, 2007, 12:56:33 AM
Anyone know which direction the center nut is turned to remove drum, clock wise or counterclockwise? Haynes has no reference.

thanks

Although I've never been that far in to my Steamer, my experience with many other bikes says it will be your std "lefty loosey, righty tighty" arrangement.  No real reason for it to be any other way on the Steamer.  I don't have my manual handy, but I'd bet it also has a locking-tab washer on it as well (just bend it down flat).  Best way to loosen will be with an pneumatic impact gun.... just zip it off.  Tightening it to the correct spec will be another matter of course...
